R-COM International Pty Ltd - Chris Markovic

• Chris Markovic is the technical director of R-Group International which works in the IT management, Managed Services and VoIP sectors. Chris has a passion for the ICT sector and wants to see WA at the forefront of ICT for Australia and the AEC. Chris is currently in this position and has been involved with WAIA over the last 2 years

Gavin Tweedie

• Gavin Tweedie has been actively involved in the day to day running of WAIA for almost 10 years, most recently as the Treasurer and previously as a paid employee. Over the years he has been responsible for the successful bidding for, and hosting of, the APRICOT 2006 conference in Perth and involved in the development of most aspects of the WAIX peering point and associated services. Gavin is currently employed by iiNet in a technical role.

  Gavin is passionate about peering/interconnect, net neutrality & increasing availability to next generation internet services for consumers and hopes to continue his work with WAIA in the future.

Rhett Hislop

• Rhett Hislop is a Web Services Manager for a non-profit organisation in Western Australia. He hopes to use this experience to help drive WAIA into the future.
